About the Presenters Jeff and Kara Teach
Jeff and Kara Teach are both East Bay area residents and are both in the world of special education. Kara has taught various levels of special education, yet her current role is an Inclusion Specialist. Jeff has offered a variety of exercise courses for individuals with special needs and his official role is an Adaptive PE teacher. Kara and Jeff have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful boys, BUT before they were married, they were in the dating world. After watching the Netflix series 'Love on the Spectrum' a cord was struck within Kara's heart to offer dating/relationship courses to all neurodivergent adults who are worthy of love and companionship! Kara took a three day course with the UCLA peers program and familiarized herself with the peers dating bootcamp curriculum that Jeff and Kara utilize when hosting Exceptional Dating workshops.
Primary Curriculum Utilized
The curriculum is displayed through projected relationship and dating content via text, videos that provide a positive example of a concept as well as a negative example, role playing by the presenters as well as opportunities for the attendees to practice as well, review, and include different visuals to support memory of steps and ideologies.

Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental videos and instruction will be presented to support neurodivergent individuals via context determined worthy and applicable through the expertise of Jeff and Kara.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to have a disability to sign up?
One must have some form of a cognitive impairment and/or have some form of special needs to qualify to sign up.
Will I be guaranteed a boyfriend or girlfriend after these sessions?
No. This is not a matchmaking workshop but rather a workshop to gain tools if someone desires to pursue the route of dating/relationship.
What is the price for the two day workshop 6 hours total?
$249 an individual which covers both days
Can I stay in touch with the other participants in the workshop?
Each participant is going to be given the option if he or she would like to share their given information (ie. social media account, phone number, email address, etc.) with the group of participants in the workshop.
Is this speed dating?
No.
